Does Application.RequestAdvertisingIdentifierAsync returns Apple's IDFA?

Hi, I'm working on getting an IDFA on iOS platform. I tried Application.RequestAdvertisingIdentifierAsync on real iOS device, and successfully get advertisingIdentifier. So far so good.
My question is that whether if this advertisingIdentifier is the IDFA that Apple provides. Because in my project, I did not linked Adsupport.framework, which I assumed to be required to obtain the IDFA. Thanks in advance for any answers/comments.
