allocation 0x0x000000000 already registered

I'm seeing this error spammed in the console, several times a second, making it very difficult to sift through to the logging that I'm actually looking for. for example: > allocation 0x0x281931b20 already registered @ /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Runtime/GfxDevice/metal/RenderSurfaceMetal.mm:l31 size 1000500; now calling from /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Runtime/GfxDevice/metal/RenderSurfaceMetal.mm:l31 size 1000500? This is Unity 2018.3.2f1, building to iOS. It doesn't show up on every device, but it does on my primary test device. I've searched around, and while it looks like this issue has cropped up a couple times, I haven't been able to find any solution or workaround. I've seen reference to it un Unity 4.x, which seems like it shouldn't apply anymore, as well as what looks like a fix in 2019.1? But we aren't in a situation where we can update to 2019 just yet.
