Mobile controls need help writing script for 2d game?

I am working on a 2d platform game for mobile devices (ios). I need help writing a script so the player can jump a certain distance depending on how long they hold there finger on the screen. the longer they hold the longer the jump vice versa and it will only let the player jump a max distance of 10x as an exaple. Thank you so much for any help because I suck a writing scripts and this will help me learn a lot.
