I need to make my app open another app, on both iOS and Android. That other app does support Deep Linking, so in theory it should be as simple as calling
Application.OpenURL("otherapp://app");
However, this has a few issues.
1. How can I detect if the other app isn't installed, and thus I can have some sort of error screen pop up if I try and open the other app and it isn't installed?
2. And more importantly, the other app appears in the same "window" as my current app. By which I mean, my current app doesn't stay open whilst the other app is too. Looking at it in the tray, it has the window and title for my app, but the other app's contents. What I'd like is to open the other app in an entirely new window.
Are these things possible?
